Free Comic Book Day Plans - 2007

What comic shops are doing this year for you and your family on May 5th's FCBD. I have highlighted the things that I thought were great and original ideas that promote literacy, family fun, etc.

Atomic Comics (in ARIZONA) will have creators signing and sketching at all four locations from noon to 5PM. Spider-Man will also be visiting our Mesa, Chandler, and Paradise Valley stores to take photos with kids.  Everyone gets a free FCBD comic book.

NOTE for Comics in the Classroom: Two big all ages creators (Patrick Scherberger - Marvel Adventures Spider-Man, and Mike Kunkle- Herobear and the Kid) will be at the Chandler AZ location.

For Free Comic Book Day, we will have a number of artist and writers showing
of and signing their lastest works.  You may even be able to get them to do
a sketch.  Artist and writers include:

In addition, we will have an airbrush tattoo artist painting temporary
tattoos.  Everyone attending gets one FCBD comic.  If you show your library
card, you can choose up to three FCBD comics.  We are working with the local libraries to be able to register people for new library cards.
