Comics in the Classroom in the News!

Posted by Scott Tingley, January 25, 2007

I did a workshop for boys on Wednesday, January 24th and it was covered by the local newspaper (it was also on the pre-news news program "Live at 5" on CTV)! The workshop went great, and the boys had a lot of fun, and the comics they came up with were great. To answer the question that came up a LOT, "Why just boys?". It was what the district asked for in response to a Provincial study that showed that boys and girls have different learning styles (I think there were two workshops just for boys and a larger "Go Girls" workshop for the girls).

Anyway, I am pretty excited about the whole thing.
