Marvel Adventures Fantastic Four #11- 2.99 Kid friendly Fantastic Four stories Spider-Girl #97 - 2.99 This may not be a character you are familiar with, but the concept is a simple one – Spider-Girl is the future daughter of Spider-Man and Mary Jane. This is her story. ‘Nuff said. From an email recently sent to me by Jeff Westhoff, Spider-Girl fan: You may know that Marvel plans to cancel Spider-Girl (again) with issue No. 100 (not due until August, I think). You may also know that her fans are trying to prevent this cancellation again. Even though direct-market sales of Spider-Girl have been slipping, the digest reprints are doing huge business in the mass market and, according to Tom DeFalco, are particularly successful in school book fairs. Each digest has sold between 50,000 and 70,000. If you agree that Spider-Girl is a character worth saving, I encourage you to join our campaign. You can learn more at a couple of Web sites: www.savespidergirl.com and www.comicboards.com/spidergirl (I co-moderate the latter). Good luck Jeff. LIONS, TIGERS & BEARS, VOL. 2 #2 (of 4) - $2.99 - 32pg Uptown Girl Uptown Girl # 36 - 2.00 Uptown Girl is an independent comic by Bob Lipski. This is not a polished comic like the ones put out by the big companies, but I just read a stack of U.G. comics and I had more fun reading them than anything else this month. It is appropriate for any age, but would be better suited for middle school and up. You can order them at www.uptowngirlcomic.com. Also, read a recent Newsarama review of Uptown Girl #31. Baby-Sitters Club: Kitty's Great Idea, B+W $7.99 Can.
That's all for now. Happy reading folks. Publishers: If I missed any of your all ages books, let me know. Scott T. - Questions or comments? Contact me HERE |
